This was a very enjoyable activity. It was described as “cool” and “different”. We did this as a mindfulness activity, feeling relaxed and calm as we watched the glitter sink and the bubbles disperse.

The activity also incorporated Science and English. We explored the density of liquids and the creation of gas. We recalled and recorded our findings using procedural writing. The blank template for the procedural writing is below.

We used this template to encourage the students to compose a title, list the equipment needed and number and sequence the instructions. The final box was left empty for them to express their likes/dislikes about the activity.
