Before the students broke up for the Christmas break, we were able to say thank you to those who help us and spread some festive cheer.

This started by a young student baking and decorating his own gingerbread biscuits. This was great fun and he decorated them with lots of wonderful designs and ideas.

He then decided to give the biscuits to the paramedics whose ambulances are regularly outside the front of the hospital. After bagging up his freshly baked gingerbread biscuits and writing and drawing a message of thanks, we set off to place them on the windscreen of the parked ambulances as a surprise present for the paramedics to find when they return to their ambulances. Just as we had left the last pack of biscuits, the paramedics came out of the hospital and were thrilled with the surprise left for them.

It was wonderful to see the happy faces of both the paramedics who had received the surprise and the face of the student who had been able to say thanks to them for all the hard work that they do, especially during the festive period.
