Children at Chelsea Community Hospital School have been taking part in PHSE sessions linked to the story ‘Have You Filled A Bucket Today?’ The children thought about some of the different things they can do or say to make people around them feel happier, in turn adding good thoughts and feelings to their imaginary bucket. As well as this, each child that comes in to the classroom writes their name on a silver bucket on the display board. Other class members and teachers are then able to write messages on post-it notes add stick these to their bucket. These can range from ‘you did a brilliant painting of a dinosaur’ to ‘well done for helping tidy away your things’. The children can then come and check the display board for new messages that have been added to their buckets. Children

What a fantastic idea Rachel and makes for a really great eye catching display. I hope that buckets get filled with many happy, positive thoughts today. Do the staff in the sessions also get to have a named bucket?…I hope so!
